The table of calculation of points which differs with the formula accepted on ITBYC a little ( example 2 vs 3): Team Score

good job, Igor. :p

I see the difference in 2 vs.3
1 and 5 is a winner at itbyc.

This is done by giving the smaller team a 2.5 points handicap.
1+5+2.5 vs. 2+3+4

The reason is:
It is impossible for the boat in 1st place to help the teammate in 5th place. It would need to slow down 3 boats.

However, there is no ISAF way of scoring uneven teams, so it is just a "philosophy" question.

Why have you decided to sign 1 and 5 as a loser?
I have doubts about the itbyc-way and about your way :-)
