Time Waster - sailing action shots and mishaps...

Open 24/7

This was e-mailed by a Kiwi who is right into the M Class boats (mainly from Auckland)

"At least when we go out and get knocked down, we STAY knocked down. It’s a known situation and one we enter into quite willingly, unlike many of these poor sods who think that because they have a keel, everything will be hunky-dory and if they just wait long enough it will all ok again..

There’s no M’s or Historics in this lot but some rather insane 49’er and skiff action plus a lot of over powered sport-boats. Tee Hee.

My personal favourites are the series of the Hong Kong/Chinese yacht sailing straight into the side of a container ship, and one of a harbour beacon with two guys perched on it, plus the remains of a mast, mainsail and rigging wrapped around it, with a bare hull about 50 metres away. EXCELLENT work chaps!!!"

Haven't found the link to those ones yet, sounds like a good thing to do at work... :;-):

Heh heh, and people complained about the ferries in VSK1!
In theory there is no difference between theory and practice, but in practice there is.
