For qualification 3 or more ladderraces are necessary. Therefore races are offered regularly. During qualification there will be a seperate ladder evaluation to determine the places for the semi-finals. After that the scored points are going to be added to the continuous ladder. (this ladder is all over the year - you will find more information about the Vivarace Fleet Ladder (VRFL) [color=blue]--> here <-- / New sailors are always welcome!)
The races are sailed on the current laddermaps with changing wind forces. It is recommended to have a look on these maps with the editior. So you are able to see possible currents or changing wind strengths. All laddermaps are available --> here <-- for download.
The participation at minimum 3 ladderraces in one month authorizes the participation to the IDM '07. The final ladder places will be adopted for the seeded sailors in the semi-finals.
<span style='font-size:17pt;line-height:100%'>IDM 2007:</span>
Semi-Finals:
According to the number of sailors it will be raced with x fleets and a maximum fleet size of 18. Sailed is on the map "IDM '07 Porta Rio" with changing wind forces. On the 1st of October the map will be available for download. For each fleet 5 top-placed-sailors are seeded. They are going to be spread over the fleets.
For example:
3 fleets, 54 participators:
1st fleet: 1, 6, 7, 10, 15
2nd fleet: 2, 5, 8, 11, 14
3rd fleet: 3, 4, 6, 12, 13
The semi-finals contain 4 races spread over 2 days. For finding the dates that work for all, an online calendar will be available. The first five out of each fleet will reach the finals. (if there are more than 3 fleets only the first four)

The finals also contain 4 races with the same procedere for finding the dates. Sailed is on the map "IDM '07 Q.D." which will be also available for download on the 1st of October.

<li>Sailed is under the rules of ISAF / Boattype: ACC
<li>The evaluation is based on the Low-Point-System
<li>Mode: Auto Pen (with annulment of wrong pens)
<li>The possibility for protesting is given
