Euphoria vs. Hula

Situation 1: at 2-00-00 Replay time: 15 giving by vsk is wrong imho. Euphoria went clear ahead while hula is just sailing straight (12)!
Situation 2: at 11-05-00 Replay time: ... is not important as Euphoria did his turn. But: On my replay it looks like Hula went htw. If so, the 16.1 was bad, if claudio dont went htw, the 16.1 is correct, imho.

1st situation after Euphoria change his course to close haulen at 2:00 there is a contact in 1 sec (2:01), I start to bearing down immedialtly but I saw on replay that this is done in 1,5 sec.....agree? I think I try to keep clear.

2nd situation I was (I think) htw still on startboar tack in my replay there isn't a contact for me is wrong pen while no contact.

You have to see the time I become clear ahead. Contact is 2 seconds after, so clear rule 12 imo.
1:59 for sure clear ahead by far. Contact at 2:01. In this period, you do nothing signifficant to avoid.

At the finish, you pass HTW, which is why I had you green (13) and I got a 16.1.
If you did not pass HTW I would have got 18.2c or 15.

I agree I broke rule 11 at the mark.

However I protest Peppino at 9:35.

I start luffing at 9:32.60 and he start luffing as windward boat only at 9:34.40 = 1.8 seconds after the luff starts.
He end up in the immediate contact zone, and any further luff by me would have caused contact.
Imo he is breaking rule 11.

OK Harald I have take a look better this morning.

1st situation: I take note that u broke overlap at 1:59 (and some microsecond) and I start to bearing down +/- at time of collision so at 2:01, agree with 12 add penalty point to my score.

2nd situation: thinking that there is a collision if there is a 16.1 I agree that if you continuing on your course I get 13 (I'm pretty sure that I didn't tack but the pen you get was clearly depends to my situation). Question If I'm in the zone the pen was 18.2c for me (you are windward inside boat)?

So 13 add an other penalty to my score.

It really was damm close between you (peppino and euphoria). WIthout beeing 100% sure I would vote for a 11, as peppino really comes down hardly and euphoria was in the "luffing" movement...

9:32.00: Peppino bears away
9:32.62: euphoria starts luffing
9:34.72: Peppino reacts

Difference between Peppinos reaction and euphorias start of luffing: >2 sec.

close, but with RC44 you can luff fast in a seamanlike way.It is F5 Map. When the windward boat want to pin a boat, she extra must pay attention to RRS 11.

euphoria would immediately making contact with Peppino, when she change course.
Peppino did not keep clear of euphoria and hereby breaks RRS11.

just my view to race 2 (euphoria - Peppino , replay time 9:35)

imo RRS 11 broken by Peppino as reaction was quite late and ended in immediate contact zone.
