Hi.
How do we create our own racing team?
We are two from Norway who want to start our own team.
The team we want to start is:

Anaconda Racing Team

Skipper: Jarle Rørvik
Skipper: Sturla Rørvik

Thanks for a quick answer!

Hi Jarle,

You create your team by posting this message :)
You need to get 1 more team member before you appear on the official team list here:
http://www.itbyc.org/vtc

The minimum number of skippers per team is 3.

Meanwhile you can show up in the itbyc chat room on monday nights for public team racing with random teams.
And meanwhile you can also sign up in the VTC database individually, which is necessary for your team entry:
http://www.itbyc.org/vtc/signup.php

Btw, look at the skippers list and you will see that there is another norwegian without a team:
http://www.itbyc.org/vtc/skippers.php?sort=country
Send "azetone" an email and ask if he want to join your team.

Ok.
Now as we have read more about ITBYC, we see that we both have to be online at the same time?
You see, we are using the same internett line. Our two pc are linked in a network. So we cant sail VSK4 via the internett (online) at the same time, and to race in teams you have to be able to do that - right?:(
So therefor I think we`ll have to find two more team-mates and we two (Jarle and Sturla Rørvik) have to be co-skipper but "one man" I you understand?

I see what you mean, but if you buy a 2nd copy of VSK4, the two of you can sail at the same time.

Hey!
We have now bought another copy of VSK4, so now we are both online at the same time...
But we still need one more Team-mate. I have sendt an email to one from Norway and one from Australia, so I`m waiting for an answer. I`m hoping the sailor from norway says yes, the time difference between Norway and Australia could be a problem...
I`ll let you know when we have a team-mate, the Team Anaconda can then be a reality.:)

Good luck with it Jarle, don't let the time difference hold you back from creating an international team! You may have to work the time difference when racing a challenge anyway. Best thing is to try and seek some "spares" in case one member can't make it.

Team Australia Gold often uses a rotation system on the day of the challenge so we all get a go. :)

Hei Nordmenn...

What are your boat names?

Like to say hei if I see the two of you on the virtual waters.

Hi Jarle,

Your team is created in the database.
As for the boat names of you and your brother, I suggest you use a little more difference in the names.
