Hi,

I'll wait with the updates of the Eurostars team in order to see what finally happens with the WTRC eligibility of the original norsteam members.

As for all the other eurostars team creations, they would have to be posted by the actual admin of the respective teams. This in order to be able to apply the topic tracking feature.

Hi Harald,

luckily after a long discussion between certain vsk skippers and their communities i am glad to announce that there will be at least one E.S.Team participating in the WTRC.

Since all E.S.Teams are formed before the Teamleague 2009 and took part in the WTRC 2010 as well its members should comply to VTC SI 1.3.

In fact it is the former E.S.Team Yellow, now sailing as E.S.Team Pirates which are defending the Teamleague title and afterwards wants to compete in the World Championship as well.

Following members are part of the actual E.S.Team Pirates which will represent the country of Malta:

Jan FenG - TiGER, Germany, international member, Captain
Darren SparroW - Junior MALTA, Malta, Vice Captain
Davide JoneS - Sailgood, Italy, international member
ThoMassA - Senior MALTA, Malta
Cliff TurneR - Dingli MALTA, Malta

I hope there will be no problems approving our team.

Hi Jan,

I'm not sure if I'm more or less confused after your post, but in any case I appreciate your approach.
For the previous post, we deactivated EST Malta as requested. For the other EST teams, we were awaiting contact with the respective team admins.

I haven't looked at the history line, but if you have sailed on the same team as sailgood and junior malta since 2009, then it shouldn't be a problem for the team compilation itself. Just pay attention to the limit of 1 international on the water at a time.

Hi Harald,

to bring some light in this matter i explain my point of view of the situation.

In 2009 E.S.Team Yellow was founded with Junior MALTA, Sailgood and me among other members to participate in the TL2009.

Afterwards Yellow was renamed to GHIACCIO to compete in the WTRC 2010.
Sailgood left GHIACCIO to join FUOCO. It was another team but within the same club of E.S.T.

In order to comply with SI 1.3. GHIACCIO was renamed to E.S.Team MALTA but never did an official race as such.
In fact it was only a temporary status.

Now, after cleaning up things the former winner of TL2009, E.S.Team Yellow, is recreated with its former members and renamed to E.S.Team Pirates to defend its title (and hopefully to compete for the WTRC).
Team MALTA should be deleted/renamed to E.S.Team Pirates and set on active status again (and stay as this for a long long time...)

Since SI 1.3.3 first sentence

The international has been a member of the team at least since 2009.

might imply that a member has to be in that team constantly there might be a problem with Sailgood.

I hope ITBYC will find a solution here.

Well, this actually is not a question of the history of the team, as long as you have chosen to represent Malta.

1.3.3: "The country the team is representing does not have enough VSK sailors in order to line up a full team."

Malta is sorting under this category, which means the team may take any new international member.
However, all teams must comply by rule 1.3.4: "The teams may use a maximum of 1 international member on the water at a time."
