Team Europe thinks Denmark has seen teams on the water with more members available then larger sailing nations.
Denmark has 2000+ sailors. She does not need a smaller country to make a team, let alone a larger country.
Australia is considered one of the larger sailing countries she does not need a smaller country to help out.
Italy too is considered one of the larger sailing countries she does not need a smaller country to help out.
Expect protests as soon as other teams feel they are disadvantaged by a team that sails in a constellation that
may violate VTC 1.3 (note country size is precondition to the "may" decision of the VTC RC in VTS SI 1.3 )
To avoid protests we advice Italian, Australien and Danish teams to consider citizenship OR team membership since 2009 only.
(I might add being able to proof citizenship and or teammembership may be necesarry.)
When and if ANY team for what ever reason gets an exemption make very sure this exemption is included in the regulations governing the event the team is participating in.
(I may add that exemptions may lead to protests against RC on basic principle e.a. )
Cheers,
Theo (Admiral, Capt. Team Europe)
