Protest vs WMR
In my opinion WMR took more room of mark than he needed.
As a result of which he violated rule 11 and I think 16.1

My opinion :
MR was always less than one 1/2 length from the mark, sailing in seamanlike way in the mark-room he is entilted from 18.2b.
Both Venho and Ilya failed to give that room.
WMR exonarated under rule 21.

I'm not so sure. Yes, he is sailing in a seamanlike way, but the question is if he would have been forced to an unseamanlike move if he kept clear of Ilya. Was there enough room to pass between the mark and Ilya in a seamanlike way? If yes, then mark-room has been given, and WMR1 can not be exonerated for his 11. WMR1 is 1 boat width from the mark at the closest. Normally we round the mark closer than this.

What is in favor of WMR1 here is that there is 1 more boat involved. Venhobel is not giving him enough room to swing his stern, which justifies that he is not luffing earlier, giving Venhobel a chance to give room.

"Normally we round the mark closer than this." except when one plans to tack as did WMR to fetch the next mark. Being inside, he may take that mark-room to do his tack.

The video has a bad perspective for this situation, it is more clearly seen if you look at it from above.
Then it’s clear how much space he took

Mark-room does not allow the inside boat to sail his proper course. Being closer to the mark doesn't make it more difficult to tack, just happens slightly later. But in any case, the outside boat must give enough room to start the tack, until the inside boat passes HTW, then rule 18 stops in this case.

Min. of replay 7.06.38 wmr bear down much over propier course. IMO wmr broke rule 11 on ilya not on ven.

Closing this, changed result to red win, as WMR1 took more room than necessary.
