Add AI boats on an edited course - nadeo did it ;)

Actually, you can create races with AI using this tips:

go in the menus, hold down right button of the mouse while typing "friends" on your keyboard.

you will able to add to 7 AI and define their level in "params" in the editor.

As a reminder, AI boats do not collide with coasts and islands.

You have to follow this tips and then create a multiplayer race.

I knew there was a cheat code :)

Now add to the wishlist full implementation of Rule 18 also around obstructions and we're set.

Three cheers for Nadeo. Hip-hip-hoorah, hip-hip-hooray, hip-hip-hoorah!

Now I'm going to go and actually try it!
In theory there is no difference between theory and practice, but in practice there is.

I have tried this. The number and level of AI boats certainly appears in the Parameters dialogue, and can be edited, but the AI boats don't appear on the course.
Am I doing something wrong? Has anyone made it work?

got it to work

create the chalenge as said as multiplayer. Do not start the race in
the editor, not in multiplayer networked mode. But under
Custom Chalenges: 'Play a Challenge'

have fun.

Would doing it the same way work? Or is it obvious from your question that you've already tried Andy?? ;-)

I have it working now. I think I must have been trying it from Play in the Editor.
I still can't see why this is not publicised in the manual etc. It is a good feature of the game, so why not promote it, rather than hiding it away with a "cheat code".

The AI boats can't handle obstructions, they colide ok, but can't avoid.
So they are far from perfect. The "cheat code" probably was leaked, intentinally or not. At least everybody useing a cheat code knows he's doing something not intended to be in the game. Use at own risk, void guarantee etc. You do not have the right to complain to NADEO about it being broken or not working.
