Hi,
Jan (Lyr) is going to post our protest today. i am sure he will do this pretty soon.

race 1: won by RUSteam
race 2: won by RUSteam
race 3: won by extradry
race 4: won by RUSteam, protested by extradry (2 protests) and by RUSteam (we agreed to the 15 to Checkmate here, so no need for you to post your protest).
race 5: won by extradry

again thx for the nice races, were a perfect training for WTRC.
really close racing!

Hi!

First i have to say thank you for the very good challenge and testmatch for the coming WTRC... there were good races (except our first one :) )
and as always in good races there are some protests...

We protest two incidents in race 4, after the topmark around 8:08 of replay time:
First Rakosi tacked inside the zone but clearly isnt over close-hauled after. Thats why he didnt broke rule 18.3 The Pen by VSK is clearly wrong.
It should be an 11 and 18.2(a) to tayfun....
Rakosi lost a really controlling position due that breach of rules... thats why it is even an PX to tayfun!
See Youtubevid: http://youtu.be/zxFcy1vyXiI

Second you can it also see at the first vid, that sergey establish overlap to rakosi from behind and sailed clear over proper course after, thats why the Pen17.1 is right to him. We protest for a break of rule 44.1 there, he did his turn not as soon as possible. You can see at second vid that sergey needs very long to start his pen, meanwhile he blocked Lyr to round the mark closer and after he blocked him to gybe to the other side (as you can see he did gybe after sergey starts his turn). We understand that there should be a time to rethink the incident but during that sergey should at least sail free and dont block others. In our our point of view he influenced the race after his pen very long and should punished with another pen due rrs44.1

Sec vid : http://youtu.be/6R-aposU-As

please say us your opinion to these two protests.

cheers Jan (Lyr)

PRIVET, We are also excited about our meeting!

Video replay should not be viewed from this angle!

2.18 can not be applied in this situation because the rule 18.3 (boat approaching the mark on the anti-
oppositely tacks, Rakosi changed tack in the area of the sign, Tayfun out without turning on the sign).
Rakosi graduated near the turn of Tayfun, and immediately began to alter course to the wind, preventing
take action.
Rakosi had lost the position due to the fact that the penalty did in his address.

violation of the Rakosi 18.3 and 16.1

sergey away from other boats and the sign, made his sentence, did not create interference. LYR its position is not lost!

sergei took 35 seconds before taking his penalty...at this time he is blocking Lyr (no chance to gybe for Lyr).
sergei had room and time to do his pen much earlier but he went on and prevented Lyr from gybing for this reason he is breaking RRS 44,1 as he did NOt his turn as soon as possible
