Privet Parus,

to the first sit,
i dont understand why you think the angle of the video is misunderstanding... but if you stay on that, i will make a new vid, please say me the angle you prefer then.
You are right it couldnt be a 18.2 (sorry) cause of the tack in the zone the 18.3 is active. But Rakosi never went over closehauled after, thats why he never break 18.3(a) and tayfun didnt react at all... instead of luffing he stayed on bearing off to rakosis direction. Its a clear violation of rrs 11 for that.

Privet
Sorry for the late reply, was not possible!

casino wrote:sergei took 35 seconds before taking his penalty...at this time he is blocking Lyr (no chance to gybe for Lyr).
sergei had room and time to do his pen much earlier but he went on and prevented Lyr from gybing for this reason he is breaking RRS 44,1 as he did NOt his turn as soon as possible

was less than 30 seconds after the violation. this time he needed to make a decision
away from the sign and boats. sergey not approached Lyr, what would stop him or block. sergey could not know that Lyr wants to make a turn. Lyr did not take any action not for the left tack.Lyr continued his tactic of the right-hand side. I do not believe that interfered with sergey Lyr!

not so much see the distance and change of course Rakosi. новое видео делать не надо , есть реплей гонки!

Rakosi after his abrupt change of a rate above close-hauled. he could not force the Tayfun to go above close-hauled!?
Tayfun, in accordance with good marine practice, failed to react to changes in the course rakosi, given the small distance between them and the time course of changes in the beginning after turning rakosi 7.40 - 7.41 Contact for replays.

I think pen Rakosi 18.3 and 16.1!

I guess you need a ruling on this meeting now?
Please summarize what situations are still open including info on what rule each team believe is relevant.

Hi Harald,

thanks for your offer to help, we appreciate that. We are stucked in the discussion, imo.

We have two incidents with opposite opinions:
1st : http://youtu.be/zxFcy1vyXiI
its first mark in the replay. We say its a 11 for tayfun and even an PX because Rakosi lost controling position, RUS-team stays on a 16.1, 18.3 for Rakosi.

Later short after this situation, sergey got an overlap from clear behind which ends in a vsk-17-penalty which he canceled. we protested it and in our opinion sergey waited too long with taking that penalty, also he blocked Lyr (he couldnt make a better rounding of the mark and later he wasnt able to gybe), thats why we protest this for a 44.1
RUS-Team deny that. On their point of view Lyr wasnt blocked and sergey didnt waited too long with his turn.
2nd vid: http://youtu.be/6R-aposU-As

I hope this wasnt too subjective. Please Team RUS add your facts, if you think, that i wrote it wrong.
Replay is in the first of my posts above.

regards jan

First situation: If Tayfun luffed to keep clear of Rakosi, she would not have been forced to sail above closehauled, so Rakosi is not breaking rule 18.3. Rakosi gave Tayfun room to keep clear after finishing her tack, so rule 15 is not broken. Tayfun failed to keep clear of Rakosi and broke rule 11. 6 points to be added to her score. With regards to the PX hail, there are no grounds for additional points under D3.1(c)(1). Tayfun gained no advantage from breaking the rule, and the fact that Rakosi decided to turn is his own fault!

Second situation: Sergeysail is sailing over her proper course while being subject to rule 17 with regards to Rakosi. She does not exonerate herself under rule 44.2, hence 6 points are added to her score.

Note: I think RUS Team should have come to these conclusions on their own.
In the first situation Tayfun is not even trying to keep clear of Rakosi!
In the second situation, the pen is delayed with 30 seconds! Not even close to being within reasonble limits.

we agreed on + 6 points for Checkmate for breaking RRs 15 first upwind (Dmitry protested).
regarding to +12 points to your team at these protests score is 19 (extra dry) - 20 (RusTeam)
Hope its ok for you.
Thx again for the nice races, hope we are going to repeat this pretty soon.
