What do you mean Harald? You mean that after the finish the game engine should keep running untill you as a skipper decide to leave the area? Enabling to manouvre, chat and sail on after finishing. That would be nice, but then the chat has to be fixed first. As it is now it is just to slow.

No manouvering, only chat. Yes, of course the chat should be improved. No need to send data to host/server before the whole message is written and sent by hitting enter.

I totaly agree with on general principles of your proposal on this Harald. What about a dedicated period for after race chat of up to 5 to 7 min after the last skipper has finished or been sunk, before the chat is turned off as suggested in my unfortunate mail to the government of Duran?
I also mentioned the need to ensure a lag-free chat mode in the same mail.

Still need to have some rudder control after finishing. I remember finishing a very close race with a gybe to the finish... except that my bow crossed the line while the rudder was still to starboard... result = boat broached to starboard (I had no control to centre rudder) and took out the second boat, which let the third boat into second place... the other boat (to my stbd) was pretty pissed off with me.. but what could I do??? We need some control after the finish

As for steering after race finnishes, a routine that automatically levels the rudder on passing the finish line will more than do for me.
