This is a fleet and match race Team Tournament
Every team will be composed of 4 or 5 skippers

TEAM COMPOSITION:

1) YOU CAN SUBSCRIBE A PRE-FORMED TEAM OF A NATION (ALSO MANY TEAMS FOR THE SAME NATION es: ITA-1 ITA-2 ITA-3 etc)

2) YOU CAN SUBSCIBE A PRE-FORMED TEAM OF A CLUB ( es: TEAM YUMA, TEAM ALIVE, TEAM VSK ITALIA, TEAM VSK PORTUGAL etc)


3) YOU CAN ALSO SUBSCRIBE AS A LONELY PLAYER WITHOUT TEAM, NEW TEAMS WILL BE FORMED BY THE COMMITTE HOLDING A DRAW

THERE WILL BE BOTH FLEET AND MATCH RACES, AND THERE WILL BE A TEAM RANKING WITH POINTS

WE WOULD BE HAPPY IF OTHER SITES OR CLUBS WANT TO PUBLISH THE RULES OF THE TOURNAMENT (WHEN THEY LL BE AVAILABLE). IF YOU WANT THEM , JUST ASK US, WE WILL SEND THE RULES AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

THIS 1° International Vsk Team Championship SHOULD BE PLAYED AT THE END OF JANUARY WITH VSK2, BECAUSE OF BIG PROBLEMS EXISTING AT THE MOMENT WITH VSK3. IN CASE THAT VSK3 BUGS ARE SOLVED, WE WILL CONSIDER ABOUT SWITCHING TO VSK3.



THE CHAMPIONSHIP WILL BE PLAYED BY AGREEMENT WITH OPPONENT TEAM .

A SPECIFIC FORUM FOR THIS CHAMPIONSHIP WILL BE CREATED, WHERE SKIPPERS CAN LEAVE MESSAGES TO AGREE ON DATES OF RACES.

EVERY TEAM MUST HAVE A CAPTAIN. HE MUST ORGANIZE HIS GROUP ACTIVITY

IT IS POSSIBLE TO HAVE A RESERVE SKIPPER FOR ALL TEAMS (SO MAXIMUM 5 SKIPPERS RESERVE INCLUDED)
AFTER THE BEGINNING OF THE TOURNAMENT, NO SUBSTITUTION OR NEW ENTRY WILL BE ALLOWED IN TEAMS.

ANNOUNCEMENT

The 1st IVTC will definitively be played with vsk2. In fact not enough people has vsk3 at the moment, and the penalty system in match races has not been patched and solved yet. Next tournament will be done with vsk3.

The final term for subscriptions is 25th January

The tournament will begin 30th January

The rules for this tournament will soon be available, we will give you communication.

NOTICE

6TH SKIPPER

- The Committee has decided to raise the number of skippers admitted per team. Now the teams can have up to 6 members.
Of course nothing changes in the matches between teams (fleet and mr), where there will still be 4 skippers versus 4 skippers. With 6 members the teams will have more freedom to organize among themselves and to supply absences. In fact this is made specially to avoid not being able to complete the schedule because of absences and impossibilities to agree for day of race.
To all the captains: communicate the name of the new skipper if you find one.

IMPORTANT: After2 rounds it will be possible for captains to substitute skippers that are not available for races. The back up skipers must not have raced in other teams in this tournament

OFFICIAL SKINS

-All the captains are pleased to communicate here or by e- mail to the committee the SKIN that their team will use in IVTC.
The skin can be custom (downloaded or self produced) or default (BlueWave, Redviking......), but it must be strictly the same for all the members.
The skins will be publised in the site or sent by e- mail to all the other captains. We are still trying to put them downloadable from the site. In case this wouldn’ t be possible, we ll send them all by e-mail to the captains. The captains should send the skins to their teammates.

This is the place where skippers will take agreements, appointments for races, share impressions and write reports of races. In these days before the start of the championship please have a look to it and try to understand the way it works (how to post, how to find folders, update profile, etc etc…) so that it will be more familiar for you when tournament starts. Committee is available for any explanation.

Championship format

18 teams---> 3 group of 6 team----> best 8 overall pass the round
4 groups of 2 teams---> winner teams are in semifinal

The situation at the moment: 17 teams subscribed + 3 players without team (Mporcona, Marty II, Akakino). We need few more skippers to start the tournament.

- If 1 new team subscribes, we will put the 3 skippers in other teams with 4 or 5 members (maximum is 6)

- If 1, 2 or 3 more single skippers subscribe to the tournament, we will create a new team with Mporcona, Marty II, Akakino and the new subsriber(s).

Please help us, subscribing, or finding new friends…
