WTRC Round 2 - Race times and results

Open 24/7

Postby euphoria » 14 Mar 2004 22:58

Hello teams,

Reference is made to the sailing instructions at the championship web page. Take a look at the race table to see who you will meet in your next series. Please use this thread to announce the time of your round 2 races and for posting of results. Round 2 races should be completed by the 28th of March.

The courses to be used in round 2 can be downloaded here. Please take a good look at the course for race 2. The current is favouring one side very much... (corresponding to Ebb tide in the editor).

PS! The captain of the winning team should remember to e-mail replay of the races to wtrc2004@itbyc.org.

I don't understand why we have to race whith this boat for the round 2 ?????

But ok we are fair play, we gona do it...

It is very difficulte to launch the spi because there is no mast, and if some body could say to Lamarsupio to stop to sing, it will help us....

Ohmmmmmmm,
Yes, our friend Lamarsupio can't yachting without his little clandestin crew ! But it's practical for the cooking. The hardest is to support the pets ! ... these little poisons always tell on to mamma when we drink beer quietly on the bridge !
And mammas (that's not a secret even in Italia) are not so smooth sometimes ! :p
Ohmmmmmmm,

Series I between Team Magic and Drunken Trappers will be raced Monday at 21:00 CET (or little later in the evening).

What is the status of the other series in round 2?
Only 7 days left...

I believe the Beer Sluts and Axis of Evil are going out Friday Night (NA) /Saturday afternoon (Aus/NZL) this weekend. Because of the huge time difference between our two teams we are forced to complete on a weekend and Axis of Evil was unable to go out this weekend.
Bottoms Up,

Sorry all for not posting that we were going to race today. But we did against the Yuma Senators.

And I'm glad we did. It was an opportunity to race a team of gentlemans, despite the fact that they probably had one beer too much, since we've won the two races, against my predictions.

VskPortugal [red] vs. Yuma Senators [blue]

Race J1 - Red Wins 10-11 Foto Replay
Race J2 - Red Wins 9-12 Foto Replay

The races we very fair, only one small (big) confusion on one of buoys, where I went from 5th to 1st, and I didn't undestood if there was any infligement from anyone. I'm still going to watch the replay.

The next races are scheduled for thursday 21:00 gmt, but I have compromized myself to try to scheduled earlier as a request of the Yuma Senators.

Now I'm going to get drunk. Bye.

Series I: Team Magic [red] vs Drunken Trappers [blue]
Two alternating reserves for Team Magic: LauTroMi and Strato (substituting JackRacer)

Race I1: Red won 9-12 (reraced after host disconnection downwind)
Race I2: Blue won 7-14
Race I3: Blue won 6-15 (restarted due to bad lag)

Laggy races... Finally we found the best host in Berttie. We were supposed to do all races, but Team Magic didn't want to continue as it was getting late. That is very sad, as we don't have other alternatives left.
