VSK3 Video help

I am having trouble cranking up the supposidly great graphics in VS three. I have a Radion 9000 64mb card and I cant get it to run in anything else than fast mode. I loads up and all i get is a blue screen or it restarts my computer. Has anyone else had problem or any ideas on how to fix. I have lots of power I just think my setting are wrong.
Does anyone have any ideas

in terms of VSK3 do not ad up, i'm sorry to say.

You can take a look at the customs settings, starting at the lowest settings (wich would be about equal to the standard "fast mode") and work your way up from there, untill you find a setting that works comfortable.

To my experience you will have to invest in a DX9 card to achieve a setting that'll give you some eyecandy with bareable framerates.

even top notch Graficcards show that VSK3 can hold it's own putting them through their paces as much as DOOM 3, Far Cry or Half Live 2.

I have Radeon 9000 (Mobility).
I'll post my settings when I get home.

Make sure you have downloaded the latest radeon driver.

I think that 64 Mb is a bit too short for Vsk3. I use 128 Mb and with the best config possible it's impossible to play (jumps a lot), so I had to reduce it to a level where i can play with no interference.

I don't know what I have but I told my friend (who ownes the computer store) what I do with VSK and he built me a machine. I took the program into his shop when he finished and it is crazy. I either have a 128mb or 256mb card but I have everything maxed out and it runs smooth. I will try to see what card I have....can anyone tell me how to do that?

Normally when you start your computer, it starts in a Dos environment to load every hardware you have before it loads windows (assuming you use windows). Pay attention and you might see the information you want.

Or, if you prefer, it works for me (but I use Nvidia) go to "control panel", "display", "settings", "advanced", and finally "adapter".

:) think Tony has something like a NVIDIA 6800xt or ultra, equivalent ATI would be X800 pro....... or higher.

I run a NVIDIA 9500XT, mind you overclocked form 370 MHZ to 450 MHZ on the graficchip and memory clocked from 700 up to 900 MHZ, and i can barely max the settings without getting below 20 frames per second.

For gameplay i advise 60 frames per second no less no more...
I will not invest in anything better, then VSK3 in multyplayer online is quite demanding on the cpu too, so I wait for the PCI express with SLI (2 or more graficcards ) to be available for AMD chipsets, and move to a AMD64 system.

Thanks, I now know what I have for a graphics card but now I would like to know how I find out what my frames per second is. LOL. Just your local idiot here.

I have the settings completely maxed out and it runs smoothly, but since I only have a NVIDIA GeForce2 MX400, it doesn't look amazing like in some screenshots...meh.

I can only do 1 frame pr second, but then again, thats 30 bottles.

I think most of the VSK3 crowd aren't exactly hardcore gamers. (I for one only play VSK3, i get to test, on the mrs orders, all the other games before turning those over to our boys). Any way i heppende to stumble over this telling survey from the developers of 'Half Life 2' wich is about the hottest game in town, and as demanding as the next hottest. Anyway its a survey on system specifications among their gamers crowd. Conclusion basically is, most get by with much less then expected when looking at the recomended specification.
